Between Tides

The coastline of Maine is rugged, majestic, and shaped by geologic events. Glacial sculpting, ancient volcanic eruptions, and lava flows have all left their mark on these shores. In this series, I turn my camera toward rocks revealed at low tide along the Maine coast and pair them with images of celestial bodies. By combining terrestrial rocks with celestial imagery, I invite viewers to imagine their shared origins and to experience photography’s dual nature as both proof and poetry. This series explores photography as both documentation and dream, offering glimpses of the real and the dreams that lie just beyond what the lens can capture.

Entre Mareas

La costa de Maine es muy accidentada, majestuosa y está moldeada por acontecimientos geológicos. La acción de los glaciares, las antiguas erupciones volcánicas y los flujos de lava han dejado su huella en estas orillas. En esta serie fotográfica, dirijo mi cámara hacia las rocas que quedan al descubierto durante la marea baja y las emparejo con imágenes de objetos celestes.

Al combinar rocas terrestres con imágenes celestes, invito a los espectadores a imaginar su origen compartido y a apreciar la naturaleza dual de la fotografía como prueba y poesía. Esta serie explora la fotografía tanto como documentación como sueño, ofreciendo realidad y sueños que se encuentran justo más allá de lo que el objetivo puede capturar.
